Revisting a painting
I probably painted this one 2 years ago. I loved where it was painted from. I actually attend a boot camp and in the winter months we have this view for boot camp. This initially inspired me to paint here.
Then a week or so ago I noticed the Erythinia tree blooming again and was inspired to revisit my painting. It was s similar day. I oiled out the painting and made some adjustments. I’m happy with the results.
The second one is the final result!
So as they year draws to a close I am prepping for my exhibition. It’s always a great time for reflection and assessment.
Some times as happens we start doubting ourselves but as you see growth slowly happening , one is encouraged to keep moving forward.
I read often about artists and their journey and mostly it’s just the same story. The more you draw and practice your process and keep challenging yourself the better you get.
So let me get back to my hanging process and get this done.
